For those who are seeking information about losing weight after the birth of a child following a C section you are going to find that the regime you follow is different to that of women who give birth naturally. Yes you can lose weight, but your post pregnancy weight loss after C section routine takes into account the surgery you have to undergo.

Below is some advice you may find extremely useful when it comes to developing the right sort of post pregnancy weight loss after C Section regime.

Step 1 – Before you do decide to start developing a weight loss program after the birth of your child following a Caesarean section you need to discuss matters with your doctor or health professional first. Unfortuantely there are certain complications that could arise following the birth of your child which may require you to undergo additional medical during the first few weeks. What you will often discover is that doctors will recommend that women following birth by C section should not begin exercising for about 6 weeks afterwards.

Step 2- Of course you are looking to get back into shape as quickly as possible, but don’t expect miracles. In fact by following the right kind of post pregnancy weight loss regime after the birth of your child you may not actually begin to see the results you desire until about 6 months time. Also because your body is still trying to recover you should take things very slowly and certainly don’t rush your exercise regime.

It is better to do things slowly and let the results you desire appear in a more timely manner. What you don’t want to end up doing is causing more harm to yourself which could then cause harm to your child as you aren’t able to care for them properly.

Step 3 – The next thing to do once your doctor or health professional has agreed that you can start exercising is to do things slowly. Begin off by just doing Kegel exercises. These will help to get your pelvic muscles back into shape as they help to tone them up. Even though you underwent a surgical procedure to give birth the walls of your vagina will have been placed under a great deal of stress at this time. So they still need time to actually recover.

Step 4 – When you start to feel a little more energetic then you can move on to do more active exercises. However before you start working out in the gym begin off by going for walks or doing some gentle aerobic exercises. In fact when it comes to post pregnancy weight loss after C section you will find that these kinds of exercises prove to be among the most effective.

A lot of women after the birth of a child will focus all of their attention on reducing the size of their belly. But by performing these kinds of exercises not only are you helping to reduce the size of your belly but make improvements to other areas of your body as well. In the beginning going for a 15 minute walk each day should be carried out.

Step 5 – It is important that along with doing the right sorts of exercises as part of your post pregnancy weight loss after C section routine that you eat the right kinds of foods. Plus you should also make sure that you drink lots of water. All of these can help to get your body in shape in a much more friendly way and will ensure that if you are breastfeeding you are supplying your baby with all the nutrients, minerals and vitamins they need to grow healthy and strong.

Post Pregnancy Weight Loss – How do you want to get fit??

We mentioned in an earlier post how rewarding it can be to lose weight by carrying out fun activities alongside your new baby. While many new mothers are delighted with the chance to do this others prefer to leave the time they spend with their baby as being a peaceful, relaxing time.

A mixture of these two approaches can be the best way for some women to get back in shape and stimulate their post pregnancy weight loss while keeping their exercise regime and their family time a little bit more separate from each other. Provided that you have someone to help look after the little one while you work out then you might like to try out these ideas.

1.	Work out with friends. Most people enjoy their exercises more if they do them with some good company. The extra level of motivation and enjoyment which come with having someone beside you can be priceless. If you have a friend who has also recently become a mother and who is also trying to kick start their post pregnancy weight loss then she could be your ideal work out companion. As well as having a common goal you will have so much to talk about that the time flies by and you barely notice the physical exertions.

2.	Walking or cycling alone. To some people the thought of working out alone is completely unbearable. Yet, if there is one time in your life when you might feel the need to disconnect from the world and have some time alone it is now. Looking after a new born baby can be a tiring and stressful experience, so the chance to hit the roads alone, with just your own thoughts and maybe a portable music player, can be a wonderful break from the routine and can see you returning to your baby’s side with far more energy and enthusiasm.

Once your baby is with you it is certain that at some point your mind will no doubt turn to how to shed some of those excess pounds and tone up your body. The mixture of a good exercise regime and healthy eating is the best way to go about post pregnancy weight loss in a safe and sustainable manner.

It is recommended that new mothers who are breastfeeding take in a little over 2000 calories a day, while those who are not nursing their little one can consume a bit less than this. Obviously this figure depends upon the weight of the woman in question and the activities she carries out. If you are in doubt about your own situation you should ask a medical expert or nutritionist for advice.

When it comes to the food you should eat it is no surprise to find that sticking to healthy fruit and vegetables is the key to post pregnancy weight loss. If you aren’t used to a diet like this then don’t try to force yourself to eat raw carrots or huge sticks of broccoli. This is a common mistake made by people who are eating healthy foods for the first time.

Online recipes are a great source of nutritional ideas, while simply preparing a fruit smoothie is a delicious way of eating a few tasty fruits. You can also grate carrots and add them to soups, sauces or even sandwiches to get something added vitamins without having to deal with big lumps of vegetable.

Apart from this you will find that your post pregnancy weight loss is helped by consuming low fat milk products and whole wheat and whole grain foods. You are probably drinking a lot of fluids just now, and sticking to water wherever possible is the best way to avoid taking on too many calories this way.

Once your precious little baby has been born you may find yourself torn between spending every waking minute by their side and heading off the gym or going jogging to lose some of that excess weight. You needn’t worry too much about this choice provided that you put a little thought into how to combine post pregnancy weight loss with activities you both can share.

First off is the idea of walking while pushing the baby’s pram or carrying them in a sling or carry cot. This is a fantastic way to introduce them to the world and give yourself a fairly gentle start to your new exercise regime at the same time.

Another good idea is to combine your daily exercises with your little one. This might sound strange but there is a whole range of pleasant work outs which you can do together. One which is recommended is to put the baby on your shins/knees while you lie on your back with your knees bent. You then raise your upper body until you see the baby’s pretty face. This type of exercise shouldn’t be done until you have asked your doctor if you can start working out your stomach and until the baby can be safely placed on your legs and trusted to lift their heads a little.

If you like cycling then you can get hold of a carrier which will keep your little treasure safe while you get some fresh air and exercise and start your post pregnancy weight loss. This is best done on designated cycling paths, and you should check what safe and fairly flat trails are located near your home.

Alternatively, if you want to stay in the house you can play, dance and have all sorts of imaginative fun with your child to help with your post pregnancy weight loss program. The only limit to the exercises you can do together is your own imagination.

During your pregnancy you undoubtedly put on some extra weight. This is completely normal and healthy and nothing to be ashamed of at all.

Once your baby has been born and you start to feel yourself gaining energy and the desire to get back your pre pregnancy figure again it is probably time to consider your approach to post pregnancy weight loss.

The first thing to bear in mind is that it has to be a gradual, healthy process. If you are breast feeding your new little one and getting up various times in the night to take care of all those new parent tasks then your baby needs you to be strong and fit to care from them and give them your best attention.

A good place to start is with your diet. A breast feeding baby will indirectly absorb the food that you consume, so eating healthily will help with your post pregnancy weight loss program and give them a better start to life at the same time. This is a great time in your life to start eating more vegetables, drinking natural juices and cutting out on the potentially harmful stuff. Getting hold of a cook book with healthy recipes or else looking up some online recipes is a great idea.

Next up is your approach to exercise. If you are still feeling a bit tired and drained from the pregnancy and from the first few weeks of looking after the baby then starting off doing some light exercises will give you an energy boost as well as help you lose weight. What you should avoid doing is spending all day working out in the gym. A gentle start is recommended, with light exercises and a fair bit of walking. Your post pregnancy weight loss will be improved if you take the baby out on short walks, and it is a great way to spend time together out of the house too.

If you are a new mommy, you know how great the feeling is of having your little baby with you and looking at you after so many months of not being able to meet her or him. Now that they are here, there are so many things that you have to do as a new mom like make sure the baby has all of his or her necessities and making sure that they are well taken care of, well fed, and that they are not lacking anything in their lives. With that being said, although you have all of these things to do as a new mom we are also concerned with weight loss after pregnancy; So much so that we are definitely looking for ways to be able to get back to our shape as fast as we can.

Although we may want to get back to our pre pregnancy weight in a matter of days or even weeks, we have to remember how long it took us to gain all of the added weight that we are now carrying. It took most of us nine full months to carry the baby and follow the myth of “eating for two”; However long it took you to gain that weight, you have to change your mindset and really know that you will be able to get back to a nice size in due time. Post pregnancy weight loss is something that all moms are looking to accomplish and in due time, you too can experience that sexy body that you once felt before.

First and foremost, you will want to schedule a nice time for you to do workouts. With the baby taking up most of your time, weight loss after pregnancy can be a little difficult if you don’t choose the right exercise workout and meal plan. There are so many workout programs out there that you will really have to take a good look at them and make sure that you find one that has you and your baby in mind.

Fit Yummy Mummy is a course that is designed by women, for women like you who have just had a baby and they will give you a good amount of information to help you with weight loss after pregnancy as soon as you decide to get started. Holly Rigsby will make sure that you have a nice thorough plan that will help you with losing the baby weight but at the same time being time conscious because of your new baby.

With that being said, it is very important that you stick to your workout plan so that you can start to see results much faster and you are able to get back to your pre pregnancy size or even better than that. Weight loss after pregnancy can be quite overwhelming, but with the right program and the right coaches that share similar values, you will be on your way

Losing pregnancy weight does not have to be as hard as you may think. In fact with more and more exercise regimens and diet plans available you can be on your way to a better looking body in no time. First you should remember that in order for you to get started with losing weight, you should change the way that you think about your situation.

You must understand that it took nine long months of eating, sleeping, and minimum exercising, so losing the added pounds is going to take longer than a week or two. Once you know that and are comfortable with that, you can check with your doctor to make sure that you can start to exercise. While some women feel good enough to exercise a couple of weeks after they deliver, it is best to check with your doctor to make sure that everything looks fine and that you can start with normal routines. If they give you the green light to move forward, you can incorporate a few of these things into your lifestyle to start the weight loss.

Meal Planning
Unlike how you were eating when you were pregnant, your eating habits will have to change. Gone are the days when you wake up at 1am to get a midnight snack. Your life has now changed; you have a new baby in your life that needs a healthy mommy and someone who will be able to keep up with her. That being said, you should opt for healthier foods that will give you a boost of energy and at the same time will help with getting your body back to a nice shape.
Instead of munching on chips or cookies when you need to snack during the day, switch it out for something like almonds, dry fruit, or even fruits and vegetables. This will help you stay away from those sugars that are not good for your health or body and will boost your energy levels. When cooking meals for your home, try to go with whole grains and protein rich foods; these types of foods will give you energy and are much healthier for you.
Exercising
Since you have checked with your doctor and they have told you that you can start exercising, start off with light exercises that will not hurt your body too much or set you back. Be sure to always stretch your muscles before exercising. Especially since you have been idle with exercising for nine months and your body needs to get back used to you doing more and more. Try to do things like walking and jogging with your baby. You can just go walking around your neighborhood if you do not want to go to a facility and while bonding with your baby in the outdoors you could also be burning calories.
These are all things that will help you with postpartum weight loss and while it may take weeks if not months to lose it, they will help you get on your way to looking better.

After a long nine months of carrying added weight to your frame, you are now desperately seeking details on losing weight after pregnancy. While having your new baby at home with you is rather exciting and a new experience that you have never felt before, your body has changed in different ways and it is a thought that has been on your mind since delivery or possibly even before then.

Being responsible for a new little baby can be extremely tiring and stressful sometimes because it requires a lot of your energy that you probably do not have because you are not getting enough sleep. Therefore, one of the most important things when losing weight after pregnancy is to focus on healthy foods that will give you an energy boost. You will want to opt in for food that is enriched with a lot of calories and nutrients like whole grains, oatmeal, bananas, chicken, and many others that will provide all of this.
Now that you are no longer pregnant there are a few things that will need to change when eating. Unlike when you were pregnant, you were eating more than usual. In fact, many women take on the myth that they are eating for two, which really is just an excuse to eat more. While your baby did need more vitamins, the prenatal vitamins and you eating a normal adult meal would have been all that the baby needed. So, since you probably were amongst the many women who indulged in whatever they desired, now you have to train your body to eat smaller portions.

Start off by limiting the amount of food that you eat. Instead of eating three huge meals in the day, you should eat between four to six small meals every single day. Remember, the keyword here is small meals; this will help your metabolism stay up and in turn it gives you a boost of energy.

Cutting down on the unhealthy sweets and starches is a must! Whenever you get a desire to eat a candy bar or a bag of chips, opt in for a nuts, fruit, or vegetables. While this may not satisfy your mind since you wanted to eat chips or sweets, it is a much better replacement that will not give you the added calories that the “junk food” will.

Remember that by changing your eating habits you will definitely be able to see some changes in your postpartum weight loss. Start of by creating a small schedule of things that you can change when you get the desire for the unhealthy food or snacks. You can create some sort of meal plan that will help you when you cook. Write down different meals for each day and since you will be eating 4 to 6 times a day, write down 3 meals and the snacks that you can eat during the daytime. Moreover, make it your business to eat before 9pm. While you were used to getting up in the middle of the night and munching on something because you were hungry, you are no longer privileged to do that. Get your body used to eating your last meal a couple of hours before you normally go to bed. This will help your food digest before you lay day and could very well decrease all of the extra added weight from going to bed right after eating.

Having a baby not only changes your life, but it also changes your body as well. One thing new moms first notice is that they still have a lot of fat weeks after giving birth and still look months pregnant. This is where the questions on how to lose weight after pregnancy arise. First of all you should know that you will lose a lot of the baby weight in a matter of weeks right after delivery. From the moment after giving birth, your body starts to shrink your stomach back to its pre-pregnancy state, or close to it, but it is a slow process. It takes about four weeks for your uterus to contract back to its normal size and with a few changes that you may add to your new lifestyle you will see that you can diminish the pregnancy weight.

Many women in this four week period will lose between 8 to 20 pounds during those first two weeks as the body gets rid of all that extra fluid built up from being pregnant. It also takes time for your hips and pelvic area to go back to their pre-pregnancy state, so it’s normal for things to be out of whack after giving birth to a child. Just make sure that you remember this because your body did not change like this overnight, it took nine months for it to get this way.

Although it is not recommended, you may feel like you want to jump right into a weight loss program immediately. It’s better to ease into a light exercise regime to keep your body safe and avoid injury. After giving birth, you’ll need to clear it with your doctor how you should proceed to exercise depending on the kind of birth you gave. It can take up to 8 weeks before you can engage in serious exercise.

Here are a few things that you can do to get started with loosing weight after baby:

Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding can help you lose weight! Breastfeeding requires an extra 500 calories a day and helps reduce some of the fat you gained during pregnancy. But now’s not the time to go on a diet, restricting your calories too much can reduce your milk supply. The good news is you can still exercise while you are breastfeeding.

Exercising

There have been studies that found that short bouts of exercise throughout the day could have the same benefits as continuous workouts. If you can’t work out continuously, split it in intervals of two 15-minute workouts, one 30-minute workout and so on. This could be really beneficial for a new mom that is short on time. Here are a few workouts that you can try to lose some of the unwanted baby fat.

Quick Vacation Workout

The Quick Vacation Workout is an ultra-workout that targets the major muscles of the body for a quick yet efficient workout. It’s good for maintaining fitness without spending a lot of time exercising. For this workout, you’ll need a light weight resistant band and a chair. And if you don’t have a resistant band, you can use full water bottles as weights or nothing at all.

Do some light walking exercises. Take a few minutes to warm up and stretch and keep your resting periods short between exercises. And end with a light cool down and stretch. If you’re short on time, do a quick lower body workout. This will hit all the major muscles in the legs, including the gluts, thighs, hips and calves. Complete once circuit of each exercise using a challenging weight.
